My style is documentary with a splash of editorial. A lot of photographers say this nowadays, but I actually worked as a newspaper photojournalist for a decade, so this style comes about naturally for me and makes sense for capturing events, weddings, and family sessions with this style.

I am a stay-at-home dad of 4 children. They have given me the means to know how to be patient and caring and put others first because they mean the world to me. This offers my clients a unique experience as I apply these same mindsets to them and their time spent working with me. I also worked as a full time photojournalist and that applies to my photo style offering and ability to recognize important moments. I have a quick 2-week turnaround. I also offer film photography.

I think this is a very common mindset for a lot of people to have and to feel awkward having their picture being taken. I’ve had many sessions where people feel this and I pride myself in getting people out of this funk and to let their guards down and have a good time and eventually feel confident in themselves.

Once we have met an agreeable date and time for your photo needs, I will first send you a contract and a 25% retainer invoice. Once the contract is signed by both parties and you pay the retainer fee, your date and time with me is officially booked and you’re on my calendar. For family sessions, the final balance is due the day of your session. For weddings your final balance must be paid in full 2 weeks from the day of your wedding.

Yes! Having your photos taken by a professional is an important investment, whether they are for your wedding or family session. If you really want to work with me, but need some extra time, I can work with you to come up with a reasonable payment plan.

For weddings and all other photo sessions, you’ll receive your final gallery in 2 weeks. For weddings you will also receive a preview gallery within 48 hours. For family sessions, you’ll receive anywhere between 100-200+ photos for a 1-1.5 hour session. For weddings, the number varies widely depending on number of coverage hours, so anywhere from 500-1500+ images.

Yes! Newborns and Maternity both fall within my family photography sessions.

I value offering a great experience for my clients. I’m laid back and don’t believe in rushing anything. I like to put my clients first and make sure they are comfortable, at ease, and are having a good time.

High-quality prints can be purchased from a professional print lab directly through your online gallery. Though I do offer you full printing rights, you can’t get better quality for the price I offer through your gallery. Professional labs know what they are doing and print using higher quality printers and better paper. For less quality and a cheaper you can always use something like MPix, but please don’t take your files to a CVS or Walgreens!

I currently shoot with two Fujifilm X-H2s camera bodies. I have 2 film camera bodies, a Nikon F100 and a Nikon L35AF and I use Godox flashes.
To keep your photo files safe, each of my digital cameras has two SD memory cards inside and images get recorded to both of those cards to insure redundancy backup. I also bring my laptop to weddings and download the files soon afterward the end of the night. I also keep a copy of your wedding on 2 separat hard drives forever. This is also true for family sessions.
